As Part of STREETWEAR month here @DOPEstore we got OKMALUMEKOOLKATi to take over our media room for the month,he did his OKMKKHK jondol there and we had a nice jol for the launch nite.But he keeps coming at us and last week he took over our street with a photoshoot for his denim collection and all we can do is present you with these pic's.......OH! stock is still available in his jondol @DOPEstore.

Last nite was the official opening of OKMKKHK jondol at DOPEstore and everybody was there!OKMALUME KOOL KAT has pulling power in the street of JOZI.Last nite was like a reunion of the young black elite and we owe it to you KOOL KATI.

Today we are very happy to share a little look into OKMKKHK 2nd collection.The full collection will be available @ DOPEstore where OKMALUME will have a little jondol set up in our MEDIA ROOM of the store.

MEDIA ROOM:OKMKKHK 2nd collection

Today we take a look at the graphic that will take centre stage of the 2nd collection.The man behind the brand OKMKKHK is none other then OKMALUMEKOOLKAT and this is what he had to say:

This is the grafik for the OKMALUMKOOLKAT'S KOOLHUNTING KLUB'S second collezioni. I don't know how I got to the final grafik. It started with an old Falcon artwork I had made, then it became two Falcons flying in opposite directions then it reminded me of a mask. I started googling masks and nothing came off that but then the next element was the calabash and that took it back into a mask and then turned the mask into a bull with flying falcons for eyes. The crown had to be there to tie it all together and emphasize on the importance of the bull with flying falcons for eyes. In fact, you need to respect the bull with flying falcons for eyes. This is a mythological creature of some sort, it also could be heavenly. Hope your enterpretations aren't as filled with mystery and wonder as mine.

Basically, there's no deep background story behind this grafik, it came about in exactly the same fashion as the first grafik. I let the Holy Oxygen flex through me and stuff comes out. I generally like creating mythological visuals so it's a win win. The grafik embroidery also sits nice on the new range of denim waistcoats. I also decided to shorten the name to OKMKKHK ( Yea, I know, I still haven't been able to memorize it myself... )

Will hopefully put up the shoot on Thursday night. Hope you smaak them. It'll also be an honour to see you at the pop-up store launch on Friday, you do not know how much that'll mean to me. Oh, you don't? It''ll mean a lot.

We kick off at 19h00 till 22h00 at DOPEstore on Loveday street, Marshalltown, Johannesburg.

We will be showcasing the first and second OKMALUMKOOLKAT'S KOOLHUNTING KLUB denim waistcoat collection and the Windbreaker series. Every item is a once off and sizes may vary.We will be operating on a first come first serve basis, so fashionably late might mean egg in face.

We kick off at 19h00 zharp, till 22h00! We won't put anything aside. Refreshments will be provided but don't plan your dinner around them. Bring money. Lots of it.
