POP UP: D.O.P.Estore @ GRIFFIN SESSIONS

If you  missed out at the Griffin Sessions last weekend this is what we got up to.  We got to design our own pop-up space and the idea behind it was to showcase our in-store labels in the best way possible. We also got to show everyone our black collection for the first time. The team had so much fun interacting with new customers and letting them know more about our brand. A huge shout out to PlayEnergy Drink for giving us the platform to 'play outside the ordinary'

POP-UPspace: GRIFFIN STORE a look inside

Today we take a closer look at the GRIFFIN POP-UP store that is currently in place at DOPEstore's POP-UP space.The space was designed by D.O.P.E and what they did was create a space for product,workshops,art plus a photo booth. The reason for this was to create a space that will give customers  the sort of energy that they can expect when they go to the GRIFFIN SESSIONS( The PowerPlay Griffin Sessions will explode in a slick and ‘out of the ordinary’ social jam this June 30th & July 1st. The event will feature a street culture market, an urban art skills workshop space and (of course) a bash like no other. All brought to you by PowerPlay)..

POP-UPspace (GRIFFIN):1808 TALK

Back in 2006 Tshidiso Maduna and Girland Masola started 1808 Arts and Culture sessions. The 1808 sessions (inspired by the old Pimville postalcode) function as a platform for young artists in Gauteng to showcase their talents and skills in hip-hop, dance, DJ-ing and other art forms Tshidiso and Girland take pride in their goal to uplift and reflect the state of mind of today's youth. They aim to educate their peers and local youngsters by engaging them on topics like teenage pregnancy, abusive behaviour, drug abuse, unemployment and HIV/Aids

POP-UP space (GRIFFIN): Max Mogale Photography workshop video RECAP

As part of the GRIFFIN pop-up store,We have been having workshop's every thursday nites and selecting between 15-20 youngsters to engage on a particular subject with our guest. Because of the space limitations we decided to film most of these workshops and share them with everyone.Last week we invited Max Mogale....a fun loving, self taught photographer plying his trade in Kapa, made his mark by shooting the night scene in the streets of Cape Town.

Thesis Social Jam Sessions (TSJS) is a culture jam held every first Sunday of the month at the Thesis Lifestyle Space at Mofolo Village, Soweto. Wandile, along with Wireless G and a few others started the Thesis Social Jam Sessions out of a need for a social space where they could showcase the finest, freshest, most innovative and talented creatives around. Since then, the Thesis Social Jam Sessions have evolved into events that bring together artists and audience members in an eclectic blend of music, art and creativity.

Max Mogale's world revolves around taking pictures. It's that simple. Luckily the kid has an eye for photography.He will be at the GRIFFIN POP-UP store this Thursday with Jeff Rikhotso. They will share their knowledge about the world of photography and answer any questions about the industry.....from lenses to blogging and anything else in between.

As Part of the GRIFFIN POP-UP store,we present you with an afternoon of fun hosted by legendary DJ and Party promoter 'DJ KENZHERO'.We will be selecting a handfull of people to join us for a session with Kenneth where he will talk about 'Party People' and the life of a dj and event co-ordinator,he will also be signing PARTY PEOPLE dvd's for everyone who purchase's one on the day.
