We’re delighted to hear about a dope new store in Jo’Burg’s city centre, and we’re sure you wanted to know about it too, so we had a lil’ chat with the shops owner Andile ‘Scotch’ Cele.
What’s in the store?
Cause we are a lifestyle we understand that people are diff so we try and cater to everyone, we push istayela! We have everything from High end to low end stuff. There is something for everyone…
What labels do you stock at Dope?
The labels available will vary with each season, but we have Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Dope Couture, Vans…
Cool, any local labels?
Yes, the local labels are Strussbob, Note and Thesis TV and radio presenter Siya Ngwekazi told me he thinks your store is dope, which other celebrities do?
We have a lot of celebs who’re lovin’ what we do, everyday someone famous comes through! I guess the word spreads quickly, and it’s so diverse, from Kanyi Mbau to ZuluBoy to Thapelo Mokoena to Skwatta Kamp and more, everybody really likes what we are about and we are fans of these people so it’s cool that they are down with DOPE What’s Dope style?
Dope style is just that! Just being cool with who you are and enjoying everyday of your life cause it’s too short not to enjoy. What else do you want to do aside from this?
Well we want to have a hand in making everything look good, cause we all about design from clothes to sneaks to furniture maybe one day cars, houses, boats ,anything is possible in our world!
